Dear Students, Colleagues, HKU Marathon Team and Alumni,

HKU Run, a running training course open to all of you to enroll, has been gaining popularity. It is fun and more importantly, beneficial to your mental and physical health. From the participants’ feedback, we understand that you would like to improve your running performance and knowledge. In addition, many at the HKU plan to join the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon 2021-2022 and would like to prepare for the event in a safe and effective manner. Whatever your interest or goal is, the upcoming 6-session series of HKU Run training with our experienced coach will help you run smoother, faster and help improve your performance as well.
The focus of the HKU Run training sessions will be on enhancing the performance of participants who are interested in long-distance running events, such as 10k or 21k half-marathon. Participants will learn about proper running drills, posture, running technique & endurance, race pacing strategies and running conditioning exercises.
The HKU Run training sessions are particularly suitable for beginners and intermediate-level runners.
